- PWR TOURNAMENTS
Who is PWR? PWR is a partnership between The Times Group, the news and entertainment leader in India and Pickleball Asia Private Limited. PWR, the PWR World Series, and the PWR World Tour were launched in Dubai in July’2024, with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) announced as the host region for the first PWR World Series.
What is PWR? PWR is home to the newly created Pickleball World Rankings, along with the PWR World Tour and PWR World Series. As a unified global ranking system, PWR offers a clear path for pickleball players to earn ranking points by competing in regional events. Players accumulate points through the PWR World Tour and can qualify for the PWR World Series.
What is NPL’s partnership with PWR? As PWR’s exclusive partner in Oceania, only NPL events—both league and tournaments—will award PWR ranking points in the region. This collaboration aims to unify regional bodies under one global structure, supporting the long-term growth and governance of pickleball.
How do I earn PWR Points? By playing in PWR Events all around the world, including PWR World Tour, PWR India Tour and the NPL Pro Tour (Season 3, Season 4 & All Championships).
What are PWR Points used for? PWR Points are used to work out who qualifies for the prestigious PWR World Series Events - a series of $1m USD+ elevated tournaments hosted by PWR.
What are the PWR World Series Events? These are the equivalent of Tennis Grand Slams for Pickleball with Prize Money of $1m-$1.5m USD per event There are 3-4 planned PWR World Series Events in 2025 To qualify for the PWR World Series Events, you must earn PWR Points at PWR World Tour events around the world (e.g. India, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Canada, Australia) PWR World Series events will be held at iconic locations around the world Including Las Vegas, Madrid, Dubai, Delhi
How many players qualify for PWR World Series Events? Outside of the 24 Premier players from the PWR Indian Teams League, there will be spots for 52 more men and 20 more women. Players will qualify based on PWR Ranking Points earned throughout all PWR World Tour tournaments
What is included for players who qualify for PWR World Series events? Flights, Accommodation & Day-to-day expenses Entry into the World Series Tournament (Singles, Doubles, Mixed)
What is the difference between a PWR 1000, PWR 700, PWR 400, PWR 200, PWR 100?

How will NPL League Players (Season 3, Season 4) earn PWR Points? Players will earn NPL points based on winning/losing their individual singles & doubles games At the end of each 3 round block (Rounds 1-3, Rounds 4-Finals) a leaderboard will form with NPL points and PWR700 points will be allocated as per table above Winner = 700 2nd = 525 3rd = 420 4th = 350 5th – 8th = 280 9th - 16th = 175 17th – 32nd = 105 33rd – 64th = 70 65th – 72nd = 35
Will I be able to earn PWR Points in any other events in Australia or Oceania? No. Only NPL Events will have PWR Points in the Oceania Region

What’s the difference between the January Indian Teams League and the World Series Teams League? January Indian Teams League: This league is exclusive to India and is organized by Pickle World Rankings (PWR). It’s tailored for the Indian pickleball market, focusing on creating a high-profile, limited-access event within the country. However, players participating in this league will be from across the world based on merit. It will be city-based franchisee model. Each team will be owned by Indian business houses/Celebrities. The franchisees for this event are: •Mumbai •Delhi •Bangalore •Hyderabad •Chennai •Ahmedabad World Series Teams League: The World Series Team League typically will be a broader, potentially international scope. This league might be structured to draw a wider range of global competitors, allowing Indian players to compete internationally
How do I provide my expression of interest for the World Series Teams League? Players from the current Expression of Interest (EOI) list will automatically be added to the draft list. The World Series Team League will be more international looking and will have international Team owners and sponsors. Draft Date: The PWR World Series Teams League draft is scheduled for January.
Can I play in the PWR Indian Teams League and other teams leagues in APAC? You are only allowed to play in PWR Partner Leagues E.g. – NPL Australia
If I play in a non PWR Partner League, will I be eligible to play in PWR Tournaments? To ensure eligibility for PWR World/India Leagues and all PWR Tournaments, players must adhere to the following participation guidelines: League Participation Players must only participate in PWR Partner Leagues or any approved leagues (i.e. NPL Australia) Non Approved Leagues: Any team league originating from India (e.g. WPBL) Exemptions Players may apply for exemptions to participate in leagues not listed above. Tournament Participation Players may participate in any Tournament series of a PWR Partner or any tournament series that does not originate in India Approved: NPL Australia PPA Australia Non Approved: WPC Eligibility Players must only play in approved leagues & tournaments as per above guidelines. Players must also refrain from participating in any events within India that are not sanctioned by the IPA or PWR.
